Employee Spotlight: Fletcher Kitchell

At Sovereign Systems, our team is made up of people who care deeply about solving real problems with technology. Today, we’re highlighting Fletcher Kitchell, one of our newest software developers.

From the Top
Fletcher joined Sovereign Systems in December 2025 and brings a practical, people-focused background to the team. Originally from Vincennes, Indiana, he now lives in Indianapolis. Fletcher studied Psychology at Marian University before finding his way into the tech world.

His career began in IT Help Desk roles, where he spent several years troubleshooting issues and helping users navigate technology. That experience sparked a deeper interest in how systems are built, leading him into software development in 2020. Since then, Fletcher has worked as a Software Engineer and Cloud Engineer at organizations including Microsoft, Belle Tire, Lids/Hat World, and Royal United Mortgage, gaining experience across cloud infrastructure, application development, automation, and system integrations.

Why We Value Fletcher
Fletcher is especially skilled at translating between technical teams and non-technical clients. He enjoys helping define what needs to be built, why it matters, and then being part of building it. His background gives him a strong understanding of both the business and technical sides of a project, which makes him a valuable contributor to client-facing work.

“Fletcher brings a great balance of technical skill and clear communication. He understands how to listen to clients, translate their needs, and help build solutions that actually work for the business.” —Dan Crawford, Founder

Beyond the Code
Outside of work, Fletcher spends most of his time with his wife, four kids, and their dog. He enjoys staying busy with hands-on home projects, from installing a dishwasher where none existed to remodeling spaces and building a backyard privacy fence. Fletcher is also an Eagle Scout, an accomplishment he remains proud of and one that reflects his perseverance and work ethic.

We’re excited to have Fletcher on the Sovereign Systems team and look forward to the impact he’ll continue to make for our clients.
