6 things our team is thankful for

It’s that time of year again—the season when we pause to reflect on what we’re thankful for. So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, here’s our list of things the Sovereign Systems team is thankful for this year.

Our Team

Let’s start with the obvious. We're thankful for our team here at Sovereign Systems—a tight-knit group of incredibly smart people. They’re talented, curious, and not afraid to dive into tough problems. Without them, none of this works. Literally.

Our Clients

We're thankful for our clients. We’re lucky to work with thoughtful, collaborative partners who trust us to handle some of their most critical systems. Whether it’s healthcare, manufacturing, or non-profits, our clients make this work rewarding.

SQL Server 2025

We're thankful for SQL Server 2025, because who doesn’t love another version to learn, migrate to, and troubleshoot? But seriously, Microsoft keeps improving the platform, and that makes our lives—and our clients’ databases—a little more stable and secure. Plus, it gives us something new to complain about next year, so that’s a win-win.

Our families

Outside of the office, we’re thankful for our families—they’re the reason we do this. We work to live, not live to work. We’d be nothing without our families, and without them, our work is meaningless.

AI

We're thankful for AI. It’s amazing what it can do, and equally amazing what it thinks it can do. Still, it’s an exciting tool that’s changing how we work, and when used wisely, it can make development faster, smarter, and more efficient. Just don’t ask it to write production code. Yet.

The Cloud

And finally, we're thankful for the cloud. Because where else would we store the mountains of data, backups, and logs that nobody wants to delete? Cloud infrastructure has transformed what’s possible in software. It’s scalable, secure, and makes remote collaboration easier than ever—something we're genuinely grateful for.

So there you have it—our thankfulness list.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Sovereign Systems. May your updates run smoothly and your backups never fail.
